Our Story

A Journey of Sisterhood, Heritage and Lifestyle

Mapiqueen Design was born from a conversation between two sisters, Christelle and Ida.

One lives in Cameroon, the other in Switzerland. One is passionate about fashion and textiles, the other about interior design and the art of living. Despite the kilometres between them, they share the same conviction: our home environment profoundly influences our wellbeing.

It all started with a simple observation. African textiles have inspired the world for generations, yet they rarely find their place in the bedroom — that intimate space where we recharge, dream and reconnect with ourselves.

We grew up surrounded by fabrics that carry stories: Ndop, Bogolan, Kente and many other African textile traditions. Behind every pattern lie symbols, memories, celebrations and craftsmanship passed down through generations.

From this, we imagined a brand capable of bridging these heritages with contemporary art de vivre.

Our ambition is simple: to invite you to travel from the comfort of your own home.

Through our collections, we seek to transform bedrooms and living spaces into places of calm, softness and escape — spaces where every textile tells a story and every detail contributes to everyday comfort.

Our creations are conceived between Cameroon and Switzerland. They bring together the authenticity of African inspiration and the standards of quality, comfort and elegance we seek for our own homes.
